Domo Akari is a small mountain lodging in El Cedral, León Cortés, Costa Rica. This page explains what happens to the information you share when you visit this website or contact us.
What this website collects
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it has no user accounts. The availability form does not send anything to our servers: it simply prepares a WhatsApp message (or an e-mail) on your device, which you can review before deciding to send it.
When you contact us
If you send us a message by WhatsApp or e-mail, we receive the details you choose to include — such as your name, dates, number of guests and any notes. We use them only to answer your inquiry and to organise your stay, and we never sell or share them for marketing.
Third-party services
WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages you choose to send through it, under its own privacy policy. The interactive Google map loads only if you ask for it. Field-journal photographs are loaded from iNaturalist’s servers. Like any website, these services receive basic technical data such as your IP address when your browser contacts them. Our fonts are hosted on this website.
How long we keep your information
We keep conversations and booking details only as long as needed to manage your stay and to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your personal data, in line with Costa Rica’s Law No. 8968 on the protection of personal data. Just write to us using the contact details on this website.
